fuzzy bunny

The Fuzzy Bunny is my take on the Shin-Ei Companion Fuzz. I was always a big fan of the Univox Super Fuzz and the Apollo Fuzz, which were both made by Shin-Ei. The companion fuzz is like the little brother to that circuit, without the differential amplifier and the octave side-effect of the Super Fuzz. The Companion is a bit more focused.

The Companion Fuzz has a tone network that makes the tone really scooped in the midrange. Sometimes, I love this. However, I added a pot to lift the mid scoop when I don't want it.

The result is one of the most useable fuzzes I've played. It can sound really chaotic and out of control or really defined and tight, and it all seems to depend on one's playing. For me, it seems to know what I want it to do and respond correctly. I dig it and I hope you do as well.
